History
DARJEELING
Darjeeling is located at an altitude of 6710ft in the Himalayan foothills.
It is famous for the spectacular view of world’s third highest mountain Kanchenjunga, beautiful tea gardens on the slopes of rolling hills, the orchids and pines,the Himalayan toy train whistling it’s way through the mountains.
The town is most popular for its aromatic tea.
The hill town is well known for mixed culture of Nepalese, Bengalese and Sikkimese
TOY TRAIN
The toy train is also known as Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.The small steam engine pulling mini coaches up the steep mountain through ,valleys, forests,tea gardens and local villages. The toy train runs along narrow gauze track making several zigzags and loops on the way. Ghoom is the highest point in the route and it is also the highest railway station in Asia.
At Batasia the train makes a loop around a beautiful garden. At the centre of the garden memorials of Gorkha soldiers are built who sacrificed their lives in war. The train stops here for 10 minutes the view of Kanchenjunga mountain and Darjeeling town is mesmerising.
TIGER HILL
Tiger hill is the highest point in Darjeeling hills. It is famous for its splendid sights of the morning sunrise.
The gradual appearance of morning sun disperses a gentle orange light to the hills, which turns into blazing yellow brightness in few minutes. The sun germinates out from the mountains like a yolk of an egg. The change in colours from blue to white to pink to gold of snow capped mountain Kanchenjunga due to sunrise is breathtaking.
PELLING
Pelling is a beautiful town in the North Indian state Sikkim at the foothills of mount Kanchenjunga. The land around Pelling is famous for its scenic beauty. The main attractions of Pelling are sight of Kanchenjunga and the neighbouring peaks, Pemayangtse monastery and the waterfalls.
The town Pelling is rich in heritage and culture, with ancient monasteries, pristine environment, numerous treks and hikes. The scenic town of Pelling is a perfect holiday destination for all nature lovers.
NAMCHI
Namchi is the district head quarters of the South Sikkim district. The meaning of Namchi is ” Sky High” and is completely synonymous as it is located at an elevation of 5,500ft.
The small town Namchi is the epitome of culture, diversity, religion, generosity and also depicts the munificence of Sikkim. Namchi is blessed with welcoming monasteries, tradional temples, Lush greenery, flora and forests.
Namchi is land of celebration and carnivals. Every year Namchi hosts football tournament and flowershow. People from all around participate in these events.
RAVANGLA
Tea Garden in Ravangla
Ravangla is a sleepy little small town situated at an elevation of 7000ft in South Sikkim.
The interesting places to visit in Ravangla are Buddha’s park, Tathagata Tsal, Robong Gonna etc.
Ravangla offers unmatched views of greater Himalayas and beautiful landscapes.

GANGTOK
Gangtok is a beautiful hill town capital of Indian state Sikkim. It is located at an altitude of 5,410ft. The residents are mainly Nepalese, Lepchas and Bhutias

Gangtok spreads over a forested mountains that faces the Kanchenjunga snow peaks. There are many vantage points in and around Gangtok from where snow peaks of Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan mountains can be viewed.
The heart of the main hub of Gangtok is M G Marg .It is pedestrian zone with many glittering shops, restaurants and bars lined up on both the sides

TSOMGO LAKE
Tsomgo lake is a glacial lake also known as Changu lake. It is located at an altitude of 12,310ft. The name Tsomgo lake means ” source of water” the water of the lake is from melting snow of surrounding mountains. The lake remains frozen during the winter season. The surface of the lake reflects different colours with change of seasons.
The oval shaped deep blue lake is a treat to the eyes. The lake is highly revered by the local Buddhist and Hindu’s as a sacred lake.
HANUMAN TOK
Hanuman Tok is a Hindu temple located at an altitude of 7200ft. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It’s a divine and heavenly feeling when reached up to the main Hanuman temple. From top spectacular view of Kanchenjunga range can be seen.
Locals believe that Lord Hanuman took rest at this place when he was carrying sajeevani from Himalayas to save Lakshman. The temple is popularly known as wish fulfilling temple
